Christmas in 48 hours or less!

Whats your fastest time to pull off Christmas?

For us Christmas has already come.....

My Honey Bear was able to come home for R&R (leave) from Kuwait!
As exciting as that was.... it also meant that we had less time to get ready....

Nicko-san made paper Christmas chains,
we hung our stockings,
and made cookies.

HEY! Why are you looking at me that way?
When time is of the essence... Cheat....
and if your not cheating... your not trying!

I let the kiddos ice their cookies with whipped frosting...
uh... yeah...

Taste testing... Check!!!

So here is our Christmas Tree...
We were inspired this year by The Christmas Tree story
in our Friend magazine.
As sometimes is the case, I didn't follow the instructions,
and attempted to trace with the cookie cutters
and cut out the foil ornaments,
then I kinda thought what the heck... let the kids trace it on paper...
AFTER the fact.... I looked at the magazine article
only to realize I had done it wrong....
What the Heck the kids had fun :)

Now for weeks Nicko-san has been begging me
for a REAL Christmas tree.....
We left Nicko-san to decorate our little tree,
while we went outside to get the fresh cut tree
we decided to splurge on.
(Yikes!!!)
Were we greeted with childish exclamations from Nicko?
Nope.
He apparently had a Master Christmas Checklist,
and we were just helping him check one more thing off....
Man he would def get hired at the North Pole!
The squeals of delight came from the other 3 made up for it!
We put the tree on top of our table to make it look bigger...
that and we really didn't have the space to put it any where else...

I don't know if you can tell...
but this year Snoopy & his dog house is our tree topper!
We like to keep things simple,
so we took one of those light nets that you put around a bush,
and wrapped around the tree.

Last but not least the Chocolate Advent Calenders ....

... and the cookie for Santa!
....then Dash away dash away All!

Now...
Why is it that the one day in the year
the kids have to wake up waaaayyyy early
its the morning of?

Go back to bed! Santa's Elves are tired!

Santa is going green....
This year we didn't wrap the presents....
What? You didn't get the memo?
It was soooo much easier to stick bows on everything!
Don't believe me? Try it....

Warning... you may never go back....

Besides time being an issue....
I just couldn't see any reason to torture
me or the Honey Bear only to see it end up in the trash.
Sleep is precious!
My precious.....

These wonderful wooden magnetic dolls were the first presents
opened by Twin Purplicious & Twin Pinkalicious... the next present didn't get open
until almost 2 hours later!

Man! Santa's Workshop hit it on the spot!
Thank you!

My gift to my kids, with the help of family is a Cooking theme...
Is the Gift of Love...
I don't know what it is, but I really dislike having kids under my feet in the kitchen...
and The kids love to be in the kitchen...
SO who am I to hold them back?

Its my goal this year to have one child per day,
help me in the kitchen...
Dear Lord please help me...
Please tell me it will be worth it!

No Christmas is complete at our house without German chocolate...

Or a Doodle board!
(have I told you the story of our engagement?)

The plus side to having Christmas early is the Stress factor is gone.
Yes, there is so much more I wanted to do.
There was so much finesse I had planned.
So many craft projects I drooled over...

~ The Most Important part of Christmas is Making Memories
of Love & Warmth, to last a Lifetime.  ~

And of all the gifts given to us this year...
The Best of them has been...
That we were able to sit back
and enjoy Honey Bear being home with us.

"The last 2 weeks I slept so well, my world was in Balance,
and it was safe and secure...
My heart & Our home filled with Joy ~ a Happiness so complete
that the only way to describe it is "Peace."
I can not imagine a life without you in it.
I can only say I have enough to last the next couple of months...
but you better come home at the end of it!!!"
