Life Skills 101

 Life Skills 101
I realize that it takes the first 3 years to establish a good Homeschooling environment
and 30 days to establishing GOOD Habits...
When I started homeschooling I just kind of jumped right in.
After all if you wait for the perfect conditions, you just never seem to get around to it.

Homeschooling in the News

So much has gone on in the last week,
I thought I should keep this post short & sweet.

Recently Killeen Daily Herald did a piece on a couple Homeschooling groups in our area
and I thought I should share it with you.
Texas Homeschool Coalition & Homeschool Sports Association
(2 Which I actually did not know about),
Fort Hood Homeschoolers, &
The Homeschool Cabin
(A local group I personally find resourceful)

Were well represented in this article;

****************

"Science investigates; religion interprets. Science gives man knowledge which is power; religion gives man wisdom which is control. Science deals mainly with facts; religion deals mainly with values. The two are not rivals. They are complementary."

~ Martin Luther King Jr, 1963

Shark, Attack!

Once a week (sometimes schedules are crazy and it ends up being every other week),
A couple of us get together to Explore the World of Science.
The cool thing about Homeschooling, is that nowhere does it say you have to buy everything yourself,
Or
What resources you are limited to!

Mrs. S ask this Wonderful Lady to come over
and teach Science to our kids

the miracle is I had the courage to start."

My Crockpot Wassail & Apples

My Crockpot Wassail

"As you bask in the joy of the Holiday Season
The attached refreshment only stands to reason
Will liven the mood and add warmth to the heart.
Especially on cold winter nights, it will do the part.
May your Holidays be happy and free from hassle
As you and your family enjoy the "Heart Warming Wassail."

Tools, Rewards & Charts Part 1

This is me reporting Live
On the subconscious network!

I was very surprised to see the topic of chore charts on several blogs in the last week or so,
Which made me question whether I should post what I have been working on

Oh Heck I'm gonna do it anyway!
